“Amalgamation” can be defined as the action, process or result of combining or uniting. The word itself relates to this particular exhibition because it contains a mixture of different photographic styles and focuses. “Amalgamation” is a photographic exhibition featuring the work of four photographers graduating from the Herberger Institute with bachelor's degrees in fine art photography.

Do you worry about your ability to communicate successfully with non-native speakers of English? Arizona State University engages globally, so it is imperative that we sharpen our cross-cultural skills.

This session will review the causes and remedies for our communication distress, discuss the most common cultural differences affecting communication with non-native speakers of English, and provide simple steps you can take to minimize a perceived language barrier.
