Aqua Fitness

Experience a variety of intensity levels in a boot camp-style water fitness class. No swim experience is necessary to participate. Class members will keep their heads above the water. Bring a swimsuit and towel.

Rachel Cline, the program coordinator at the Sun Devil Fitness at Polytechnic Campus, oversees fitness and aquatics at the campus. She has a health promotion master’s degree.

Registration required; 10-participant minimum.

The primary cause of morbidity and mortality for persons with cystic fibrosis (CF) is pulmonary damage from chronic bacterial lung infections, with Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa responsible for 90% of all infections.

ASU professor Heather Bean will discuss the research that she and her team are doing that may contribute to more effective drugs to treat chronic lung infections associated with cystic fibrosis and COPD.
