This event will focus on the experiences of graduate students and the strategies and conditions that contribute to academic and professional success. A panel of graduate students will address the roles and importance of personal supports, access to resources, work-life balance, and community building to ensure academic success in graduate education and personal and professional fulfillment.

All attendees will receive a free copy of the book "Graduate Admission Guide" by The Princeton Review.

 

Device Privacy Drop-In

Are you asking yourself: How can I use public Wi-Fi safely? If I’m worried about being tracked on the internet, how can I protect myself? How am I supposed to keep track of all those complex passwords anyway?

If so, bring your devices and your personal security questions to (insert location) for a 20 minute personal or group cyber consultation. Our friendly cybersecurity expert will help find the right tools and techniques to solve your problems and help you install and use them properly. You don’t have to be a cyber ninja to stay safe online, and this event is fun and free.

Progressive Pedagogy: Mentoring New Faculty Members

Join the UNI Success faculty at Arizona State University for its series of professional development workshops that draw from progressive pedagogical (ProPed) techniques, designed to support student success and retention.

This training will provide participants with tips and strategies to employ when working with new faculty members. Mentoring new faculty members will improve their effectiveness in classrooms more quickly than leaving them on their own.

Come join the Andrew Goodman Foundation Fellows, sponsored by the Ed Pastor Center for Politics and Public Service, for a morning of engaging discussion on public policy. Breakout session topics will include immigration, public education and sustainability. Discussions will be led by top professionals and subject matter experts relevant to topics discussed.
