The ASU Downtown Phoenix campus: Dedicated to sustaining a safe and secure environment

Arizona State University in partnership with the city of Phoenix is committed to creating and sustaining a community environment that is safe and secure for all members of the Downtown Phoenix campus community.

It is reassuring for students and their families to know that ASU's commitment to campus safety and security is comprehensive and well defined. The Phoenix Police Department provides all law enforcement services to the downtown campus. Seven ASU police officers are assigned to the campus to act in a liaison role with Phoenix Police and assist in the law enforcement function. ASU Police Aides provide security-related services to campus properties on a 24/7 basis and are available, along with Copper Square Ambassadors, to accompany students, faculty and staff to classes, on-campus housing and parking areas at night. Additionally, a private security firm is in place to provide security to Taylor Place on a 24/7 basis.

As part of the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus community, students play a vital role in making decisions that promote both your personal safety as well as the well-being of the ASU and Phoenix community.
