The Fair Justice Initiative and Problem-Solving Justice Principles

You are invited to join law and social work students for a special lecture —  an event sponsored by José Ashford, of the ASU School of Social Work, and Katie Puzauskas, of the ASU College of Law, as part of their course on problem-solving justice at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law

 

Speakers: Chief Justice Scott Bales, of the Arizona Supreme Court, and Chief Presiding Judge B. Don Taylor III, of the Phoenix Municipal Court

Bales will discuss the formation of the Arizona Supreme Court’s Fair Justice Task Force, the issues identified by the Task Force, and the recommendations made by the Task Force. In addition, Justice Bales will discuss how problem-solving principles can play a role in implementing the recommendations of the Task Force. Taylor will discuss how the City of Phoenix is responding to the initiative and principles of problem-solving justice.
