Drafting Effective Arbitration/Mediation Clauses for the Cannabis Industry

The American Arbitration Association and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in conjunction with the Arizona Cannabis Bar Association will present a 90-minute liven webcast CLE on the selection and drafting of arbitration clauses for the cannabis industry.

Arizona Cannabis Bar Association directors, Gary Smith and Melissa England, will address the legal issues and implications in selecting arbitration versus litigation and the issues to consider when drafting arbitration clauses. Lance Tanaka, regional vice president at the AAA will address the AAA’s ClauseBuilder, a web-based tool designed to develop clear and effective ADR clauses. Chris Marohn, director of Continuing Legal Education at ASU Law will moderate the seminar.

Topics covered will be of broad national appeal, as well as offer specifics related to Arizona law. The panel will be open to questions from the audience. Lunch will be provided.
