Constitution Day

The International Bar Association Foundation, Sandra Day O’Connor Institute and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU will host a free, public, non-partisan conversation on Constitution Day about the benefits, responsibilities and economic significance of preserving the rule of law and the principles it embodies on Constitution Day.

Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor stated that: “Commitment to the rule of law provides a basic assurance that people can know what to expect whether what they do is popular or unpopular at the time.”

As the first of a series of town halls to be held across the country, a respected collection of legal minds and national figures will come together in an open forum to candidly talk about the meaning and importance of the rule of law.

Featuring our distinguished guest panel:

Nicole Carroll, editor-in-chief, USA Today

Jon Kyl, U.S. Senator from Arizona (1995-2013, 2018)

Myles Lynk, professor emeritus, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University

Ruth McGregor, chief justice, Arizona Supreme Court (ret.) and O’Connor Supreme Court Clerk

Homer Moyer (moderator), past chair, International Bar Association Rule of Law Forum
