Registered Downtown Student Organization
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
To be a fully registered student organization, you must complete 4 steps. Fall 2009 registration has ended. There will be a period in the first few weeks of Spring 2010 when new registrations will be accepted again. Please check this website for the Spring deadline.
STEP 1: Fill out the registration form. CLICK HERE. Make sure you upload the constitution when you fill out this form online.STEP 2: Read through this web page and review the HANDBOOK. Once you have, please visit the Downtown Student Organization Resource Center Blackboard Organization. On this site, you will find a short and simple assessment. One of the 3 members or officers submitted on the registration form must take this assessment (test) in order to prove that you indeed reviewed the Handbook and this website. If there is no entry and grade on this Test from your student organization, than this step #2 is not complete. Please email me to let me know which student organization(s) you represent when taking the quiz:
Here's how to access the test:
- First, review the Student Organization Website for Registered Student Organizations and read the HANDBOOK.
- Log into My ASU & click on Blackboard.
- Select the Organization Tab on top. (as opposed to home or courses.)
- In the search field, type i: DOWNTOWN STUDENT ORGANIZATION and click GO.
- This organization will show up: ORG-D-SORC = Downtown Student Organization Recource Center.
- Next to this line is a button: Enroll. Click Enroll. Click Submit. Click OK.
- The only option you'll see is the 2009-10 Mandatory Student Organization Assessment. If you are ready, take the test. If not, come back to your Blackboard Organizations when you are.
- Click on it to take test and clik OK to get into it. There are 20 questions and you should be able to complete it in less than 15 minutes if you have done step #1.
STEP 3: Take the Advisor Commitment Letter to your Advisor and have them sign it. Return it prior to the deadline via the methods described on the Form.
STEP 4: Once you completed the above steps the Downtown Student Organization Recource Center will add the president as an admin to their organizaiton on Org Sync. He/she will then need to fill in their Organizational Profile (not personal) on Org Sync. This can be done by going to Settings and finding the option for Organizational Profile.
