Community Service

Community service is an excellent way to make the most of your college experience and actually apply what you are learning in the classroom into your community.  ASU in the Community (link to http://community.uui.asu.edu/) offers over 1100 ways to make a difference throughout Arizona.

Community service offers opportunities to:

  • Build your resume
  • Gain valuable job experience
  • Network
  • Gain leadership skills
  • Enhance your communication skills
  • Meet new people
  • Obtain scholarships, internships and awards
  • Try something new
  • Address social issues and make a difference!

Service Opportunities:

  • Alternative Break

Every year, ASU offers you the chance to take a break, go on a trip and make a difference in an Arizona community. In three short days, you will make a positive  impact on a community and yourself.  For more information, contact AlternativeBreak@asu.edu.

ASU Cares is a community service initiative with a mission to foster ASU's relationship with the community and encourage philanthropy among ASU students, staff, faculty and alumni.

This year's ASU Cares event is on February 16, 2008.  (more details to come).
