Construction Mitigation Initiative

Reaching New Heights at the Downtown Phoenix campus

Arizona State University is moving into an era where the Downtown Phoenix campus will serve 15,000 students and provide 20 acres of academic collaboration in an exciting urban environment.

Developing a campus of this magnitude can not happen over night, but it can be built as quickly and with the least amount of impact as possible. ASU understands the construction process can be intrusive, inconvenient and noisy to students. That is why ASU has created the Construction Mitigation Initiative (CMI).

ASU has asked all the building partners, architects, general contractors and building owners to participate in this initiative to provide students, faculty and staff with the most up-to-date information and to help minimize the impact of the construction process. The CMI is here as a resource for you to help reduce the impact of the campus construction.

Other projects in the downtown corridor:

Close to the campus is the Sheraton Hotel under construction at Van Buren and Third streets and 44 Monroe, a high-end condominium project, is taking shape at its namesake address. The Phoenix Convention Center and Metro Light Rail rounds out the many projects that are under construction downtown. To keep up with this incredible list, check out these links:
